We got a sweet letter in the mail the other day from the boy we sponsor in Ethiopia. It always tickles me to read his letters and see his report card. Bless that boy's heart, he doesn't do well at all in school, but he always has a high grade in Physical Education!
Compassion International makes it so easy to write a letter to your sponsored child. You can create an account right on their web page and choose a template to "build" a letter with. You can even upload photos right to the letter. It's much like scrapbooking, but online! It's great!
If you don't sponsor a child, why not choose a child today from the Compassion website. They help thousands of children each year with money for education, food, clothing, and health care. You can choose what country you want to sponsor a child from as well as what age and gender you want.
When we chose Abush in Ethiopia many years ago, he stood out to me because he was the same age as my twins and he also had the exact same birthday as me- May 12! There are many sponsorship programs that are very good, in fact I wrote about many of them in my upcoming book.
We chose Compassion because they are so user friendly and they have been helping children all over the world for a very long time. AND, if you sign up to get email updates, you can even attend local concerts in your area for free if you help at a Compassion table! We have attended many Christian concerts for free over the years just by volunteering to help at the Compassion table.
